Does anyone know if it's possible to open a UK eBay seller business account and choose EUR as the currency?
As far as I can tell, eBay has the worst multi-currency support out there and forces you into expensive conversion fees.
So my question is: Is the UK account strictly limited to GBP, or can it be switched (at Registration) to EUR or USD?
Thanks in advance!

Registering on Ebay UK will mean your account is always denominated in Sterling. If you list directly on say Germany with your UK account you will show your prices in Euro but Ebay will "kindly" convert your sale proceeds at their "generous" rate of exchange into sterling. It is not possible to register a foreign currency account with UK Managed Payments.

Based in Germany and using a UK registered account to sell is likely to have difficulties with EU <> UK transactions --- UK based Banking account is required and Default UK Import 20% VAT duty / rules will be applied for European point of sale/s if either the Buyer/Seller is based or has an account Registered outside the UK >

That sounds pretty crazy — honestly, how can eBay even stay competitive with something like that?
What's so hard about supporting multiple currencies, or at least offering a choice between EUR, USD, and GBP — the major ones?
Amazon manages to do it...
