If, like any sensible Seller, you have opted OUT of Simple Delivery and use Advanced options to control your postage, be aware of eBay amending your listings to SIMPLE DELIVERY on the sly….😡
If you BULK EDIT items, the postage will change to SIMPLE DELIVERY regardless if you’ve used ADVANCED OPTIONS on your original listing. Even if you edit your postage within BULK EDIT it will amend your listings to show SIMPLE DELIVERY. The only way around it is to go back and EDIT listings individually to return to your ADVANCED OPTIONS.
Thanks for making life difficult ebay. 🤬
Is this a deliberate policy of eBay or just another example of their programmers incompetency - you decide!

As per eBay:
"From 15 April, we’ll gradually introduce Simple Delivery as the only delivery method available for private sellers who list eligible items on eBay.co.uk. The option to opt out is only available for letter-sized items in specific categories that are priced £10 and under."
eBay has been enrolling private sellers into mandatory Simple Delivery since 15th April. Once you're enrolled the opt-out will be unavailable unless the item is priced under £10, fits in an envelope and is listed in certain sub-categories.

I thought this must be an old post…but no.
Ebay have been quite open about changing existing listings and moving users to SD only for months now - I’ve not had any access at all to custom postage since mid-April.
Its a messy roll out, yes, but its not being done ‘on the sly’ and when its applied it does seem to be working ‘as intended’.
I think you’ll find that advanced options will disappear very, very soon and you too will have no option but to use Simple Delivery so I’d advise that you check your settings and choose your carriers as soon as possible.

I have the same, listing items individually it lets me use custom postage.
But if I select multiple items and edit in the 'bulk' editor then any change at all to an item switches it to simple delivery.
I'm not sure whether this is a deliberate change or different teams of developers not speaking to each other. The implementation seems a bit wrong as it seemed to be swapping items to simple delivery regardless of whether ebay's policies suggest that they should be sent custom delivery (e.g. bulky items) and also included swapping a collection only item to postage with simple delivery!
Also because it entails a change to the postage rates it won't let you make any changes to an auction as it approaches it end time (specifically I was trying to turn off auto relist which you can do at any time in an auction)

GGGuru, you are technically correct, but this is not something that was hidden from sellers. Even the bulk relist tells you at the top if some will change items to SD. It's frustrating, but at least we can still change them back ATM.

I think this may be a glitch actually
Tonight I could select multiple items, sell similar and edit duration etc without them being switched to simple delivery
Selecting some current listings and editing them first of all was switching them to simple delivery, then when I tried again it didn't

I can’t.
I’m not the only one fully on SD, surely!?

Just to follow up this has now entirely stopped for me, I can use the bulk edit again to sell similar or to edit active and scheduled listings and it is no longer switching anything to simple delivery, so this may suggest that someone jumped the gun with unfinished functionality - @genuinegameguru is it still happening for you?
