If a buyer  offers you for example,  £10 you receive less,  as the Buyer Protection Fee is taken off.

If you offer a buyer £10 for your item,  the buyer here pays for the BPF.  Now not 100% sure of counter offers as I haven't experienced this myself, but presume as the seller is sending this,  the buyer pays the BPF here,  too.

I can answer this since I have tested it. let's use a figure of £20 as an example.

The potential buyer sends you an offer of £20. You want to accept, but don't want to pay the bpf. There is a simple work around, send a counter offer of £19.99 you then don't pay the bpf. The buyer does. (You could also do £20.01, or indeed any other number.)
