sold an item as collect only, buy buyer seems to have chosen postage service ?

hi, I've sold an old patio table and chair set, which I specifically put collection only. a buyer has bought it, however somehow they have managed to choose royal mail postage for , £2. 99 !?

at the moment the buyer won't respond to my message asking if they intend to collect,

where have I gone wrong in the listing? I have sold a reasonable amount on ebay since the pandemic and would like to continue to do so, but they are making life overly complicated with all these changes..

I am not far off giving up with it

eBay seem to be adding changes to postage on listings in their Simple Delivery drive.   We can only hope it all settles down soon.

You can cancel your current transaction.    Go to the dropdown arrow alongside the item on your sold page > Cancel order > Something wrong with buyer's address, ie. too far away to collect.

If they've paid the refund will be issued in the process.    Or if they haven't paid you can cancel due to non-payment after 4 days.

And put their ID on your blocked bidder list:

thank you, for your reply.

seems somewhat waste of everyone's time. and I feel in the long run eBay will lose our, when people give up on it
