request help

To the eBay Community and Customer Appeals Team,

I am writing to you today with a humble request for assistance regarding a permanent suspension that has affected my family for many years. We are long-time members of the eBay community, with my original account dating back over 20 years.

The Background: Many years ago, I made the mistake of allowing my brother, who was living in Hong Kong at the time, to use my UK-based account to sell mobile phones. Unfortunately, his customer service standards did not meet eBay’s expectations, leading to the indefinite suspension of that account. The Impact: Because of eBay's security linking, my personal account and my wife’s account were also indefinitely suspended. While my wife was briefly able to reopen hers after an appeal, it was eventually closed again due to the original link to my mistake. Our Request: My wife, in particular, has never personally violated eBay’s policies. Her account was a casualty of my poor judgment in sharing my login details a decade ago. We have learned a very difficult lesson about the importance of account security and policy compliance.

We are reaching out to see if there is a member of the leadership or appeals team who could look at our case with fresh eyes. We are not the same people we were 10 or 15 years ago; we simply wish to be part of the eBay community again as honest buyers and occasional sellers.

We kindly ask for a "clean slate." We are happy to provide any identification or documentation required to prove our current standing and UK residency.

Thank you for your time and for considering this humble request.

request help

Unfortunately we are not eBay but other buyers and sellers and members. Whilst there are community managers that look over threads during the week they are unable to unfortunately help you in your request. My only suggestion is to request a call back via the CS link I will post below. Its always best to try early morning as you may get Dublin. However eBay usually stick by their word, so if you had a ban from 10 years ago or so, it is unlikely they will lift it now - so don't hold your hopes up.
