recalled item

ebay sent and email saying that an item I purchased has been recalled , when I try to return it the sellers site has been removed by ebay I have tried to contact ebay via their online chat but I am banging my head of a brick wall does anyone know how to contact ebay via email or telephone

Ebay's responsibility ends with advising about the recall, unless you are within 30 days of delivery and can use the money back guarantee, which is an automatic process. 

There is no point in contacting them.

They sent the email before the item was delivered on 18th Dec 2026 it arrived the next on the 19th I have been trying to sort this out since. Regards T

If you received the item on the 19th December and the email the day before,  you had 30 days then to open that case for a full refund. 

If the seller was removed from eBay,  you needed to contact Customer Services,  they would have opened that case for you or refunded,  as they had removed the seller.

Too late to get eBay involved now, unfortunately you waited too long, but can turn to your payment provider now,  for help with a refund.
