impossible to speak to a human!

About a week ago i ordered a tablet. 

It was marked as shipped and then 2 days later the seller messaged me on here to say it is out of stock! They told me to cancel it or i.coukd wait 6-8 weeks for it to be back in stock.

 

I needed it asap so i said i would cancel. It turned out i can't because the seller has marked it as shipped! 

I messaged them again to say i can't cancel and they will need to on their end. They said they will cancel it. 

But its been 48h and they still haven't! 

I messaged them again, they replied they are trying to cancel it?? 

 

I am foing round and round in circles with the chat bot trying to speak to a human! Eventually i convince it to let me speak to a human and if i click call me back, no one does (its mt correct number) 

And if i click chat with am agent it says ok then am error message loads up telling me.to.try again. 

 

I have spent hours trying! I have had to order it with a different seller now before i even have my money back, i am fortunate that i could afford to, most people could not, especially this close to Christmas. 

 

I reported the listing because it is still up even though they don't have stock, (i dont want this to happen to someone that cant afford it!!) which ebay promptly replied there was no fault found with the listing, i included the chat log where the seller tells me they have no stock! 

 

I just want to speak to a human!

I doubt whether ebay would do anything unless a number of  people report the seller to them.    In the meantime you have to wait until the estimated delivery date on the listing has passed then select "Report an item you didn't receive" on here:

and escalate it 3 complete working days later to get a full refund.

Weirdly i just logged on and had a message from the second seller asking why have i opened a case against them. 

 

I havent! But i have been trying to contact ebay about the first seller! I can only assume ebay saw the email i sent a day ago and thought i meant the second seller. 

 

The second seller is rightly confused as to why i would open a case against them the same day i ordered something 🤣.

 

I have managed to close the case and just hope they are still happy to send me the tablet. 

 

Because the tablet from the first seller was due to come today, i have now opened a case against the first seller.

 

What a mess!
