I've been selling watches for some time (100%) feedback and have tried to list a used Rolex Guarantee paper - absolutely genuine.
I cannot list it as apparently I am trying to sell a item that is 'not authentic'. How can other sellers list identical items yet I am not?
I'm a confused Business seller!
Any suggestions on how to persuade the AI gods on eBay that its authentic?
Thanks Community

This is eBay's answer to why an item is removed.
Why was my listing removed/hidden when similar listings are still active?
If your listing is removed or hidden by eBay, you may see similar listings still active on the site. This could be for a few reasons:
There may be differences between the two listings that aren't obvious
The other seller may be a rights owner or authorised retailer of the item
A participant in the VeRO Program may have asked us to remove your listing but hasn't requested the other listing be taken down. These types of removals are only done at the request of the VeRO participant, and aren't eBay's decision. Read more about the VeRO Program, there's a link at the bottom of most eBay pages.

Your listing was reported to us, but the other listing wasn't

Alleged counterfeits are only removed if the brand owner reports them. eBay does not act on reports of counterfeits from ordinary users. Quote: "Only intellectual property rights owners can report eBay listings that infringe on their copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights".
For eBay's full policy see: https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/listing-policies/selling-policies/intellectual-property-vero-pr...

Thanks for the replies.
My item wasn't removed as it wasn't even listed - the counterfeit message popped up when I tried to list it - so eBay must be pre-empting and therefore actively doing this (on behalf of Rolex?) rather than relying on brand owners reporting them.
This quote cannot therefore be true: "Only intellectual property rights owners can report eBay listings that infringe on their copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights"
Therefore unless Rolex have told eBay to not allow any used items to be sold, which clearly isn't the case due to the number currently for sale, it is being done by eBay itself.
I'm not trying to rant but as sellers we need to understand the reasons behind some of eBays decisions.
I do appreciate your inputs.

I don't know, but I would speculate, that you are not allowed to list that specific item unless you are also selling the watch it belongs to.
There could be an argument that a collector with a strong interest in the brand might want a used Rolex Guarantee paper. However, there could equally be an argument that somebody who possessed such a document could use it for unethical purposes.
As you say, other sellers do have those items listed.

Thanks for the update. I've just realised that I read your question too quickly last night, and made the classic mistake of picking up on the words "used Rolex Guarantee" without noticing the word "paper" after it.
If it was just the paper guarantee from a Rolex that you were selling I'm not surprised that it was blocked. eBay sometimes gives the wrong reasons, but the sale of documents that could be used fraudulent purposes - which is certainly true of a Rolex guarantee being sold separately from the watch to which it applies.
