WHY can’t I message my buyer?

There is NO LINK on eBay that is allowing me to SEND A MESSAGE to my BUYER. Why? I have dislocated my ankle and wish to tell the buyer that I won’t be able to send their purchase until after the weekend. There is NO link ANYWHERE that works, the Messaging box opens but says there are no messages FROM the buyer. That’s irrelevant! I want to SEND a message to the buyer, not receive one!!!

Preferably use a laptop / PC and Chrome then click on the item in Orders >>  Awaiting Postage.

Top left click on view order details.

From the right of the page that appears,  you'll see Message Buyer, or it might be from More Actions >> drop down menu >> Send Buyer a message.
