WHY HAVE I RECEIVED A POLICY VIOLATION ?

Hello.  Today I listed some vintage cutlery items including dinner knives.  Shortly after listing they were purchased as a ' BUY IT NOW '.   I offer free postage and made sure I entered ROYAL MAIL TRACKED WITH AGE VERIFICATION.  I received message from eBay after cutlery items were purchased saying listing has a policy violation against it.  I tried to purchase postage label but without success.  Also the option for using Royal Mail was blanked out and only postage ( astronomical ) via UPS came up.  Ebay also advised myself to revise listing which I cannot do because the items have been sold and were paid for immediately.  The money is now on hold.  What do you advise me doing ? I tried live chat without success but think it was all AI generated information.  Also eBay states I have to dispatch items by Tuesday 24th Feb.  P.S. There are thousands of knives selling and sold on eBay.  Why are they picking on me ?  Thanks for your help and comments.  Kind regards to all.

If you're offering free postage I'd send the package out yourself via your local Post Office, just buy a label there.

WHY HAVE I RECEIVED A POLICY VIOLATION ?

I think the problem is with the original listing. Gets so complicated but sellers are required to ensure that buyers are over 18, not just use age verification on the postage after selling without knowing that you have sold legally.

Ebay rep advised this.

You can only buy UPS verification postage through ebay, they don't offer RM.

You need to buy RM verification from RM website.

WHY HAVE I RECEIVED A POLICY VIOLATION ?

re previous reply

eBay supports age verification on checkout for many items as part of our commitment to keeping our community safe. See our Age restricted items Help page for details. However, sellers are still responsible for confirming the buyer’s age and for using age-verified delivery when they sell age restricted items.

WHY HAVE I RECEIVED A POLICY VIOLATION ?

Thanks for all your help.  Managed to have an actual live chat ( not AI ) with eBay.  Posted the cutlery items yesterday and printed off postage label via Royal Mail's website ( Tracked 48 with Age Verification ).  The problem, now solved, was that I received a Policy Violation after the items had been sold and paid for.  Strange, I now cannot find my listing on Completed Items.  Also, I cannot leave buyer any feedback as listing doesn't appear on my feedback page.  I was told during live chat that Policy Violation could not be removed against my listing.  Will never try a list any kind of knife again.  Thanks again.
