Tax on Ebay sales

Hi all

I am a student with no current employment and have been selling off my own personal collection of trading cards i have accumulated over the past few years.

I have made roughly £2500 from these sales.

Online it is very confusing to see how the taxation stuff works and from what i can see online it seems that since this is personal belongings I can sell with no issues up to £6000 and since I have no other income as im unemployed I could potentially reach the personal allowance of £12570 without having any tax (though my collection could never fetch close to this).

Just looking for some guidance and any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Tax on Ebay sales

There should be no tax involvement selling your own no longer required items.

While we cannot give tax advice, as far as I am aware, any of these sales on ebay do not get deducted from your personal allowance.
