Simple Delivery - Not so simple

I'm trying to implement Simple Delivery seeing as though its becoming mandatory. BUT....

After years of ebay addressing OVERPRICING OF POSTAGE, making it liable to feedback etc, working very hard to find and use the cheapest carriers for my sizes and measurements, now the Simple Delivery prices are extortionate!

Theres also no option to have PARCELS COLLECTED with anyone other than Royal Mail (by booking on their website which is timeconsuming in the 'Returns' option - I don't know if it can be integrated with Royal Mail as orders can be imported as they are now via Parcel2go).

I won't travel daily adding to the planets demise and wasting my precious time. Additionally I was only offered Royal Mail and Evri but I see someone else had the option of Yodel and DPD - how come.

This is very frustrating because at least if I wasnt going to be in I could have the option to drop off. Now I have to be in when someone orders for their parcel to be collected. All my flexibility is being undermined.

Also the WEIGHT CATEGORY GOES FROM 2KG TO 15KG. Where are the 5kg and 10kg standard weight brackets?

I see alot of profiteering from ebay and wonder how much they are trying to squeeze out private sellers.

I don't understand how a platform that was original providing a service for me is now dictating my selling terms and circumstances. I'm very disappointed in them.

So its becoming mandatory. I cant see from my Active Listings what the simple delivery chosen price is. I can't see which listings I have edited to Simple Delivery. I can't see which remaining listings in 'eligible' categories need to dealt with.

When this becomes mandatory, am I going to lose all my information on how much I charged, so that when the Simple Delivery cost takes over automatically I have to amend my prices to compensate - am I going to KNOW WHICH LISTINGS I'd need to reduce because thats the only way I know how to remain competitive in getting rid of my stuff?

I also feel sorry for the buyer. At least when we were charged a fee to sell we knew where we stood and could factor it in. Now the buyer has a buyer 'protection' fee (because they weren't protected before?), they will pay more for postage with Simple Delivery (on Private Sellers only).

I suspect business sellers who are not competing with us Private Sellers) are very happy, as is eBay who will likely get loads of Private Sellers going Business just to make life easier? Or just give up and leave which is how I feel right now....
