Simple Delivery NOT cheapest for buyer

I’ve just read an eBay message telling me that from April 15th ‘Simple Delivery’ will be the ONLY option available to private sellers and it listed all the benefits including access to the lowest courier prices. Two days ago i listed some cushions and cushion covers that boxed up weighed just less than 3kg. With ‘Simple Delivery’ the only weight option selectable was up to 15kg which gave a price of over £7. From my Yodel Direct account, I could select a parcel weight of ‘Up to 5kg’ which gave me a price of around £5.30 for posting the same parcel. Based on this, eBay’s “No choice but OUR choice” delivery system may, in some circumstances, either cost my buyers more for postage, or me, if I offer free postage. eBay is becoming more and more dystopian.
