Sellers lying about dispatch times.

Is anybody else getting very fed up with a lot of sellers lying about their dispatch times. It's happening more and more often on Ebay. In the sellers advert they state an estimated delivery time and this is seldom accurate anymore. I've just had to ask two sellers the following. "You've issued tracking numbers etc 3 days ago, but the delivery company has still not recieved the parcel. When will this happen? Is there a problem ? Thank you." . The sellers claim it's not their fault that the delivery compnies are not collecting the parcels. I think they are lying and are just waiting until they have enough parcels to warrant collection. So it means the customer has to wait 3/4 days for the parcel to actually enter the delivery /courier system and then the 4/5 days for it to be delivered. All while the seller claims 2/3 day delivery. What can Ebay do to resolve this type of false advertising ? It is really putting me off using Ebay.

Estimated delivery date is shown on all listings.

You can open item not received  as 1 day after this date, escalate on day 4.

Sellers lying about dispatch times.

Any seller not dispatching on time would be a very foolish seller, as late dispatch and delivery are all  taken into account by ebay when calculating a sellers status. Falling below standard can have serious consequences for sellers.

So instead of wasting your time contacting sellers open not received cases to get refunds.
