I posted a pair of mens trainers they were sold but I had to message the buyer to tell him I couldn't send them as in hospital for a while with cancer. He is now saying I jave sent an empty box where there clear conversations between us telling him and I was sorry what do I do. I didn't even get a tracking code

You listed with Simple delivery but presumably you didn't use the ebay label as that would have been tracked.

Without the seller protection for using Simple delivery all you can is refund the buyer if they open a case.

If you didn't send the order out, just click on the 'Refund' button in the case.

What happens when you click on 'Refund'?

Can you confirm that you did not send anything to the buyer, so you still have the trainers?

Has the buyer opened a case through Ebay or has the buyer just messaged you?

You say “I posted” then you say you had to tell the buyer you could not post.

Which is it? If you didn’t post what is this empty box the buyer claims he has received?

Has buyer opened a case? If so you can refund through the case. If not then you can cancel the order and refund through the drop down menu.
