Seller closed my case after I rejected a part refund

The seller has rejected and closed my case of return. Because he has closed it ‘somehow’ without my consent I can’t appeal or even ask eBay to step in. It’s a lot of money and something that was advertised incorrectly and that I don’t want. What can I do since the automated system won’t allow me to challenge them?

More information would mean better advice.

I am making guesses here, but:
Did you buy from a private seller?

Was the item unsuitable so you opened a case stating the item was the wrong size/didn't fit?

Such a return is counted as a change of mind.  A private seller could refuse your return and the case would close.

A private seller with a No Returns policy does not need your consent if you open the wrong case.
