Returns query.

I purchased two different size fruit tree  barrier bags at a total cost of £23.98. Both bags arrived within 7 days and I was quite impressed with the quality but not the size. Both bags were massivly oversize to what I actually required. My fault as I had read sizes wrongly. Bear in mind I am 81 years old with failing eyesight. Contacted seller who was based in Manchester and explained my problem and stating I was wlling to return the items to Manchester for a refund. Seller responded by offering a 50% refund and stating return postage was very expensive. As the items are of absolutely no use to me I responded stating I would only entertain a full refund and I was willing to pay return postage. Surprise when I started a return process , only to find the return address was in China. Yes postage will be very expensive. What can I do now as I had started a return but do not want to proceed further with what will be an extremely expensive process ?. Any help would be appreciated.

You should be able to return the bags within the UK if they were sent from a UK address.

You can ask Ebay to provide a return address if the seller won't.

However, the cost will be high, even to return with the UK,  if you are sending large, heavy items as you have to use a tracked method.

You could go back to the seller and say you have changed your mind and would accept a 50% refund.
