Refund not going through

I’m trying to refund a return and keep getting an error message asking to add a payment method but I have checked my profile and I already have that added. I have done loads of returns and sales and never had this before. I can’t issue this refund !

anyone else had this and know what to do?

I thought the easy way if no funds available in ebay account, was that ebay takes from your bank account. I thought that this was standard practice rather than having to have a payment method.
