Postage in Canada

I’m hoping someone might be able to help. I sold a signed trading card to buyer in Canada. He/she said it was damaged in the post. I posted the other week to say I couldn’t create a return postage label from the uk. I spoke with eBay and they said it was ok for me to PayPal over the buyer some money for shipping. I paid £13.05p international delivery to send. The buyer is telling me from Canada the only way he can send it is by UPS and it will cost me £70!!’ with insurance. I just want to know does this sound right to you? I feel like he’s doing everything possible for me not to get my trading card back. Surely it would be a similar price to post back? Or am I wrong?

Advice please.

You asked and got replies before.

This is problem with selling outside UK.

May be better to just refund before buyer escalates case to ebay.

Postage in Canada

My previous post was about not being able to create a return label which eBay now agree isn’t possible. This post was just a post to ask if the postage back would actually be that different? Not ever had this before as in such a price difference for posting back. That’s all but thanks for your reply. I’ll chat with eBay tomorrow morning again and see what they say.
