Hi there - I just received a 'seller initiated payout' for £4.80 that I don't understand.
It doesn't seem to relate directly to any item that I've just sold. Although, I have sold 20 items in the past few weeks. Any ideas?? Thanks so much

Where are you seeing this? Is it included in the balance in your account?
“Seller initiated payment”. Sounds funny, what seller?
Payments in or out can only relate to proper transactions, no one can just send you money out of the blue. Could it relate to an unused postage label relating to a purchase you made, where the seller did not use the ebay label?

Hi there - thank you for the response. Yes, it appeared in my eBay balance, similar to my normal payments for items I've sold. But it doesn't seem to be linked to any sale directly. I was able to withdraw it into my linked bank account. But I have now changed my eBay password just in case something odd is going on. I wonder if it is some kind of postage refund? I tend to do all my sales with eBay simple delivery. Is it possible the courier has decided someone overpaid for postage and the £4.80 is some kind of refund??
