Payment on hold

I was recently asked to update my payment details on eBay, which I did. My item then sold but wasn’t showing as payment received only pending. Obviously I have not sent the item until it reaches my account. I have been in communication with the buyer and explained but they have now opened a case . I want to post the item but am unsure if the money has definitely been paid

If you received a message from eBay that your item sold and buyer had paid,  you must send the item asap to the name and address eBay have provided on the order details.

It will not show received in your bank account, as payouts need to be manually withdrawn.

If you have updated your bank details this can take several days for it to be checked and verified, but as a new or returning seller your payout can be held for longer and definitely needs tracking to show the item has been delivered.

Late dispatch can severely damage your ability to sell. Once ebay has received payment it is up to you to dispatch in accordance with the time you quote. Ebay shows the date by which you must dispatch.
