This item seems to have been used. The packaging had broken Styrofoam inside(not caused from shipping). The box itself has been opened before, although it was shipped in the mfg box. The pieces inside were all loose and moving around inside the packaging. Pieces that were meant to be in individual "baggies" have been torn open and were rolling aroung loose inside. Some of the pieces are dirty as if they have been used to assemble the product and then removed. The mounting bolts, rubber washers and nuts were loose(not in a shipping baggie). The baggie for the water line(we think) was just laying in the box. We are not sure what was inside that baggie, as it was just a loose piece of plastic lying in the box. The nuts for the bolts have deep scratches on them, as it they had been tightened down and then removed/taken out. The mount for the remote control has figerprints, smudges, dirt in the cracks and some sort of sticky residue. The owners manual/installation guide is not in it's own baggie, just laying in the bottom of the box. The bolts used to connect the water ine and supply line were not attached to anything nor in a packaging baggie, just metal nuts rolling around loose inside the packaging. Our product just arrived at 12:44 and we are writing our message at 1:30. The product was listed as NEW---but it is not. It sould have been lised as OPEN BOX. There was a stock photo of the product on the listing page, which led me to believe the the product was indeed new in the original packaging. We are remodeling our kitchen and bathrom at this time. I have bought faucets, shower trim, shower valves, light fixtures, toilet paper holder and a kitchen faucet thru EBay. This is the only product that we have ordered that was listed as new, but arrived as OPEN BOX. I am very disappointed with this purchase. I wish to return this item and DO NOT want to pay for the return shipping. We will attempt to package the return better than we recieved it. I am attaching photos.                                             I sent this message on the day we recieved our item---not new. A refurbished item from Amazon. The seller accepts returns, but I felt that I should also not be charged for the return shipping. My request was denied and EBay/PayPal sided with the seller. Now, the seller has the refurbished item(not new), I paid for the return shipping(I guess) and have recieved bo refund. Shouldn't I recieve my refund minus the shipping(which I still don't think I should be responsible for)? When my request was denied....Was it the request for the additional return shipping cost--or the entire cost? The total was over $350......everything with EBay is AI. I cannot speak with a real person. When following the proper provided steps with EBay, I am just sent in circles. Yes I am frustrated, but I am wondering if the fact that I appealed the refund of the return shipping before the seller  recieved the return, I am out the entire cost of my purchase----not the cost of the item minus the shipping cost. Whm do I contact and how do I get a real, live person to speak with? I understand not being reimbursed the return shipping,, but I should at least get the cost of the item(even though it was not new and had scratches/gouges on some of the items inside. The package also rattled(the first indication that it was not new). Thanks for any help taht y'all may be able to provide......

You're in the US and may have a different return process to ours here in the UK, so log out of the UK site and back into ebay.com and ask there.
