I purchased purchased a new laptop from a seller. Intially I was happy with it, purchased another for a friend; I then had issues with switching off, then switching on/off, now my laptop bought August 2025 and hardly used is defunct and my friend is having issues with hers. The seller never ever responds, and I don't know where to go from here...Any ideas?
I will never buy from this seller again and wish I never left positive feedback originally !!!!

You have 30 days to return an item that's not as described via eBay, same for PayPal.
If you paid with a debit/credit card or ApplePay you have 120 days to issue a not as described chargeback.
Unfortunately, for items bought that long ago, you're way out of time to pursue a refund.
If your seller is a UK registered business seller you may want to take some free advice for Citizens Advice regarding pursuing this via a legal claim.

To add, I've just had a look at your seller and they are trading on a private account. They should be trading on a business account, that alone should've been a red flag for you. You have no consumer rights with a private seller. I honestly can't see where you can go with this.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I did not hear from the seller again surprise surprise...a huge lesson learnt.
