I offer different postage options, from 2nd class up to special delivery, across a range of postage policies. Standard items go as 2nd Class, with upgrades to 1st Class, Special Delivery and International Tracked. Items over £20 have their own postage policies so they should go as Tracked 48 and International Tracked.
Previously the bulk purchase page would reflect any upgrades selected by the buyer, but recently all orders come up with the standard postage.
International packages that cost over £20 and so should be sent Tracked are automatically selecting Standard, which wasn't an option in their postage policy
I didn't realise this was happening and have recently had a couple of customers asking why their item can't be tracked. I was about to let them know the tracking number is really only delivery notification, until I noticed their order actually should have gone by a trackable method

Buyers will usually pick cheapest postage as they are covered by eBay MBG.
Tracking is for benefit of seller incase of buyer saying not received.

Yes they do, but I offer upgrades for when they want them. When buyers pay for the upgrade of faster, signed or special delivery postage, it used to select that for you in the bulk postage purchase page.
And tracking not just for the benefit of the seller, it also benefits buyers who want to track their item.

I should add, it's worth offering these upgrades. There's always a few stragglers at the end of the Christmas rush who need something to arrive quicker, but also people buying for birthdays or time critical projects, or they want the extra security offered by a signature.
Most buyers just use the standard postage for the item, but it's got me extra sales for sure.
