Multiple buys from 1 person

Hi can anyone help me with this dilemma. 

A customer wants to buy 2 or more items and combine postage  , how do we do this now with the new system?

Combining invoices is not working. Ebay suggest that buyer pays in full and seller refunds excess.

Buyer fees would still apply for each item.

Buyer could tell you what they want to buy and you then combine and list as one item for them to buy.
