VARIATION LISTINGS:

You need to use eBay's new listing tool to set this up.

If you're already using eBay's new unified listing tool, at the very top of the page you’ll see the Photo & Video fields when you're setting up your listing.

Can you see that at the top of the listing form you're using?

If not, go to Seller Hub (you must have sold at least one item in order to access this) and then click on the blue 'Create listing' button that's located top right:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sh/lst/active

Put in your title, then when you start to list your item you'll see the Photos & Video field at the very top.

The option to set variations is located between the Item Specifics and Condition sections, it'll appear once you've selected to list in Buy It Now format in a category that supports a multi variation listing.

If you still do not see the variation option between the Item Specifics and Condition sections, click on the 3 dots on the upper right hand side of the listing form and then select the settings gear icon and click on the variations toggle so it turns blue.

There are limited categories that support a variation style listing, if you're trying to list in a category or sub category that doesn't support this listing format, it won't appear.

OUT OF STOCK OPTION:

If your listings have ended you won't be able to update them to add stock, you'll need to start a new listing.

You should use the out of stock option - when the item has sold/sold out it will stay active in your listings, so if you get a restock of that item all you need to do is change the quantity.

The benefit of this it shows you have a selling history of that product which helps with sales and pushes you up in the search because the listing is gaining trust which eBay likes to see, they are more likely to show an item that does sell over one that doesn't.

If you wish to turn this on off then go to your selling preferences below.

Scroll down and toggle Listings stay active when you're out of stock
