I want to delay posting my sold item

I'd like to delay my sold item as I'm unavailable to post at a later date.

If you don't post your item within your stated dispatch time you will get a dispatch defect on your account and you risk getting negative feedback from your buyer.    It might be better to cancel the transaction and relist it when you can post it.

 I do not understand, delaying because you can’t post at a later date makes no sense.

If you do not post within the time stated on the listing, then you get a late dispatch defect and a late delivery and possibly bad feedback.

Instead of saying delivery is delayed, you should have put account on away mode.
