I BOUGHT AN ITEM THAT WAS SOLD AS GENUINE BUT IT IS FAKE AND I CANNOT RETURN - WHY?

I have purchased a Moncler jacket that I received minus the receipt to authenticate purchased that was shown in the listing and was not included with the jacket (as it stated it would be). I chased the seller for over two weeks to forward the receipt so I could authenticate the jacket with Moncler directly. Unfortunately, I have only just heard back from Moncler who inform me that the jacket is a fake. I opened a 'return' case on the basis the jacket received was not as described and I received within 30 minutes a 'case closed' message from eBay with no explanation.

I have paid a lot of money for a fake item sold as authentic but now eBay will not help me return the item for a refund I suspect because it is over 30 days but I was unable to have the item authenticated as the seller delayed forwarding the so called proof of purchase.

You must be over the 30 days allowed, so nothing can be done through ebay, so contact your payment provider.

Remember to leave feedback, you have 60 days for that.

Yes it was closed because you were over the 30 days allowed for an ebay case.  You didn't have to get it authenticated you could have returned it as soon as you thought it was a bit dodgy.

You could try your funding source for help.
