I sold an item which went for over £200 to a buyer with a Chinese name. Before that sale a person contacted me wanting to buy for a fixed sum. I said no as I had listed it as auction only. The buyer who actually won the auction never paid despite a number of emails. I told ebay but have heard nothing.
I reposted it 2 weeks later, the same person as before contacted me asking to buy it for a fixed sum. I said no as it was on an auction, not buy it now or offers. He then went on to win the auction, which I duly sent the item triple bubble wrapped with large envelope type wrap inside and out outside of the box, placed inside another box with paper wrapped around that and then all covered in plastic wrap against the weather. I used Evri as suggested on Ebay. He now says it arrived broken. Ebay refunded his money and told him not to return anything.
Is there a way to see if these two buyers are the same? The winning bidder had me send it to an English man at an English address which was printed on th Evri label. I did not realise that he was not the actual buyer, but a third party. I wrote on the Evri label " Fragile handle with care" before sending. In the video he sent me showing the package, it was not on the label. Does Evri replace an original label during transit? Can
