Harassed by seller after leaving negative feedback

I bought a watch from a seller for a good price but it became evident on receipt of the item that it wasn't genuine. I requested a return immediately. The seller then messaged back and said to cancel the return and they will provide my refund separately also that they don't even want the watch back. I checked the eBay forums and I read that this isn't what I should do and I should just return the item regardless, which I did.

I did get a refund pretty quickly which is great, but afterwards I left negative feedback for the seller. A few days after I got two messages, exactly the same, from the seller asking me to change my feedback. I've now got exactly the same message sent to me every day for the last week.

I really don't like being harassed like this. So what are my options? This seller seems to be putting pressure to buyers to cover up their negative feedback.

The negative has been removed so send the seller a message to say it has gone, to please stop harassing you, or otherwise you'll need to report them.

The negative feedback has not been removed. The text along with it looks like it has been blanked, presumably done by eBay itself.

Sorry yes, should have said the negative Feedback removed.

You have no control over the actual negative being removed,  that's up to eBay Customer Services,  who didn't see fit to remove it after removing the actual feedback.

It's up to the seller to fight his corner with CS over that,  but seeing the number of negs they received already, doubt the actual negative will be removed.  They have so many doubt the removing of one would make much difference.

I don't want the negative feedback to be removed. I didn't even want the message inside the comment to be removed.

My issue is that this seller keeps emailing me asking to retract my feedback, which I'm not going to do.

It sounds like I just need to report the seller to eBay. Hopefully then they will stop messaging me.

Obviously you said something in the feedback which seller was able to use to get wording removed, but not the important Red Dot.

Makes complete nonsense of the TOP RATED SELLER status.

You do not say, but it sounds as though you paid for return postage, but if you had opened a Not as described case, seller would have had to supply return label.

Please,   just do not reply to these constant messages, a reply is a reaction,  and the ' conversation' will carry on.

Just ignore them,   as soon as you see their ID and message,  delete it, do not read it,  do not reply,  they'll soon then,  get bored so with  none of the  action they're requesting,   they'll stop !

Thankfully I didn't pay the postage, as the seller did send over a returns label.

I haven't replied to any messages but I've been very tempted! My thinking is that they think that I'll reply with something obnoxious and then report me and thus somehow get my feedback revolked in response.

I got another 3 messages from the seller today. All exactly the same. I've been using eBay for over 20 years and this has never happened before.

I plan to report the seller when I get the time. I'm not sure what eBay can do about it though?

You can report them to eBay if you wish,  but eBay will bever reveal any if any, action taken.

However tempting to reply to the latest message,  I still believe the best action to take with them,  is no action,  that is, do not reply,  they will get bored and stop.  The reactions are just causing their actions to keep on sending those messages.
