First direct bank

Trying to set up bank details as a seller but I bank with first direct which it doesn’t seem to like - anyone know how I sort this out

First Direct is part of HSBC, so should be acceptable.

I know of people who have used First Direct. You are trying with a current account, a deposit account would not be suitable.

In addition to the two posts above, have you tried entering details by selecting HSBC as the bank as opposed for looking for First Direct?  As Vy says they are the same group, and when I worked at the Post office, if we were processing cheques, they always went in to HSBC envelopes.
