Has anyone else had trouble with sellers saying they use Royal Mail but when you order from them you find they use Evri? I hate Evri as in my experience they are completely incompetent and do nothing but lose parcels, so I try very hard not to knowingly order from sellers who use them. It's extremely annoying when sellers tell lies about their despatch methods and It's time Ebay insisted they tell the truth.

If you buy from private sellers using Simple Delivery they have very little control over the postage method used.

Ebay can even override any choice of theirs to use RM.

What does that mean exactly? I'm talking about sellers who say they use
Royal Mail and as a seller myself I know you do have a choice. They should
be honest about their despatch methods when buyers are trying to avoid
egregious couriers like Evri.

Business sellers have a choice of carriers they can use and should use the carrier mentioned on their listing.

Private sellers only have a choice of Royal Mail,Evri or both.

If either RM or Evri are chosen then they should use the service quoted but eBay can and do override the sellers choice and send with the other carrier.

If both services are chosen when listing eBay selects the carrier used and the seller has no say,

A buyer can only choose from standard or express delivery,there is no option to select which carrier you prefer as a buyer.
