In the last few years I have had a man turn up out of the blue on my doorstep after buying a collection item and ebay giving him my address.

I have had a stalker who told me they knew me in real life and sent me unpleasant messages,  I don't know who they were but they definitely knew who I was

Now someone, a buyer who has bought the item which is for posting, emailing me instead of using ebay messaging.

I have reported the first two to ebay and the second to which ever body it is, but nothing happened in either case.  This is alarming as a female who lives with daughters it is not nice to have ebay give total strangers, and a man, my address or to be stalked on here.  Has anyone else had similar experiences to this?

Buyers don't get sellers addresses for collection items. Once they've paid they get a collection code and can then contact the seller to arrange collection and get the address, or the seller may contact them to arrange collection.

Buyers also don't get sellers email addresses. If they send an eBay message eBay may then copy that and send it as an email, but the senders address won't be the buyer.

So, don't know what's going on there I'm afraid. Both those scenarios shouldn't be possible.
