Coupon

Hi,

I've recently purchased an item from a company, and an Ebay coupon for £75.00 was taken off the total amount.  The company sent me an invoice for the full amount, which excluded the Ebay coupon discount.

Due to the discrepancy in the invoice and the purchase price, I can't reconcile them.

The seller said I would need to contact Ebay regarding the coupon, as they get paid the full amount from Ebay.

Hope this makes some sort of sense.

If you're looking for an invoice for the amount that you actually paid then your seller is correct, they receive the full amount (eBay pay the coupon element), so they're unable to issue an invoice for a different amount.

eBay won't be able to help with this either, so I'd just make an note on the invoice and match it to your payment reference for when it comes to accounting.

Sellers don't need to send invoices on eBay. Buyers simply pay via. eBay's checkout.

Have you done this? There should be an option at checkout to enter any eBay coupon code.

As your seller correctly says, eBay will pay the seller the full sale price.
