Combining items and unused labels

A buyer won an item on auction and paid for it straight away. The courier label was Evri.

Later they won a 2nd item, this was not paid straight away.

The next day I contacted the buyer and told them that I could send the items in one package, on one tracking number,  as soon as payment was recieved for the 2nd item, and that they (the buyer) would recieve, eventually, a refund for the initial unused label.

They made payment for the 2nd item, but this time chose InPost as the option for the delivery and label.

I have packed both items together using the 2nd item label (Inpost) and tracking  - will the buyer still get a refund for the postage cost on the Evri label , which I have not used.?

Yes, buyers get refunds for unscanned labels.

You realise that you will only have proof of delivery for one item, so buyer could get a refund for the other by claiming not received.
