Changing Tracking Details After Posting

Hi Folks, I have just sold an item and purchased the postage through eBay, which meant that the tracking was automatically uploaded.

It turned out that I had forgotten to check the weight of the parcel and had to pay again at the Post Office, which means there is now a new tracking number. 

I have contacted the buyer to let them know but I want update eBay, especially as they are withholding payment until the item is delivered!!

Anyone got any suggestions please?

If it shows as dispatched due to the original label that's the main thing.    Without tracking the payment will be released anyway after 14 days.   The unused postage label will be refunded after 30 days.

If it's not showing as dispatched or you want to try and speed up the payment you can try contacting ebay and see if they will change the tracking number for you.    You can request a callback on here:

Hi, thanks for that. Yes, it's marked as dispatched. I was distracted and rushed booking the postage. 

I'm not a fan of a lot of the newer features of eBay..... especially the whole system for paying sellers. It's as though we're just not trusted these days ☹️
