Cancelling shipping label

Hi

apologies if this is not being posted in the correct place.

I’ve sold an item and am now being asked to get a prepaid postage label. I don’t want this label as the postage options I required to send the parcel were not available to me. I was unable to select anything larger than medium parcel and the item I need to send is larger than the dimensions for medium parcels.

i thought I would by my own label via the Evri site instead. However, I can’t progress the order as I don’t want to pay for the eBay prepaid label and I can’t cancel the order as the money for the prepaid label will be taken from my refund.

Please would someone advise me on what to do: how to list items correctly on eBay with oversized dimensions and how to receive a full refund for a label that I haven’t purchased

You do need to open the label as the buyer's correct address will be there.  You can't cancel it.

Ebay will charge you for the label but you can claim the cost back - see the link below.

You won't be able to change the tracking but should probably message the buyer with the new tracking number.

f you selected ‘Seller pays’ and offered free postage on your listing, you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling
