I'm on a laptop and using Chrome and the option is there on my listing form.
Scroll down to Delivery details >> Package Size. Bottom of that pop up , right at the very bottom you will see...

When you click on the packet size box during the listing process you will get the various size options in a pop-up. Scroll down to the bottom of the pop-up list and you should see a link that says:
"Looking for heavier or larger package options? Switch to custom postage."
If you're not getting that try a different browser, preferably on a desktop.

Thanks for the suggestion, I have no such option.
Tried in multiple browsers. If I were a little cynical I might wonder if that's a feature rather than a bug.
Anyway. I cannot list my items now.

Anyone else reading this; do you see such an option? Not in my IOS app, not on my desktop PC browsers.

I've been onto ebay support. they've removed the option to ship anything longer than 610mm there is no work-around. I was told to take my package (way longer than Royal Mail will ship) to the post office and then to tell ebay if they don't want it.
Needless to say, that's not what I'll be doing. As of now my item cannot be listed for sale on new improved Simple Delivery eBay.
