Buying Requesting A Return For Item Not Matching Discription

I have sold a pair of jet black shorts & the buyer is disputing the colour & saying they are blue. He has sent me a picture of a blue pair of shorts but they are not mine, mine were 100% black. He is requesting a return & refund. What should I do?

Unless he opens a not as described case within 30 days you are not obliged to do anything.

If he opens a case then you have to provide a return label and on return refund in full. Then you can complain to ebay, but do not expect. miracles.

This is one of the risks you run when selling on ebay, buyer protection  is more important to ebay than seller protection, which is as good as Nil.

Honestly, in the pictures, the sold shorts do look blue rather than jet black.

If the buyer has opened a case, then Ebay will accept their word.

Personally, as it will cost you over £3 to provide the buyer with a return label, I would refund them without asking for a return.

Thank you for your response. I have provided a returns label but he seems to have gone very quiet since doing this. I think he was banking on a full refund & to keep the item. Not sure I will receive the item back !!
Regards.

Unless buyer sends item back, you won't be charged for label or have to refund.

Do not chase buyer.
