Again...and again

I have posted twice on this thing and people are suggesting things I've already done.... But I can't reply to anyone.... there's no option to do this. Or at least I haven't found it , which is another problem.

Why oh why have a help community when it's not very helpful ?

I suppose you guys are only trying your best but this eBay system of not talking to anyone is ruining everything for people like me....you know... the ordinary guy in the street.... Trying to use the most popular selling/buying platform on the planet.... And it's useless to a person like me..

Please please don't reply to this... just read it and take note..... Because this is the third time I've posted on this thing in 3 different labels which have nothing to do with what I'm posting because there isn't a "label" to cover what I'm trying to find out....yep... totally useless...

Have a good day.... I'm going to spend my time now on something that works and is more constructive...

Bottom right of every post is a big blue reply button, just click on that.

If you've asked a question then that button will be available on every single post on your thread. Click on it to reply to a post.

If the problem lies with choosing a tag when you set up a question, just select the closest to your topic, it doesn't matter.

It seems that you have previously attempted to list items without success --- appears that your Selling account setup is incomplete --- update your eBay Selling account (using a PC/Laptop is best)   including  setting  UK based current Banking account details for Managed Payments using/clicking on these links >

The correct solution to your problem was almost certainly provided by fargvs at 0:923 this morning, in reply to your original question entitled "humans".

It appears from your feedback that you haven't sold anything here for over a year. A lot has since changed, including the need to update your selling account for eBay's new (or new to you!) managed payments system.

I take the liberty of reproducing fargvs's post below. There is no way to avoid these setup equirements so if you haven't done so already, you just need to work through the guidance that eBay has issued. If you run into any problems just use the blue "Reply" button at the foot of the page.

Eventually getting to grips with this remote help community thing.... It's only taken about 12 hours but hey that's the world we live in.

You're perfectly correct in saying one of the other members thinks they have answered my question, however my point was and still is that I shouldn't need to ask anyone.

Ebay should have made it abundantly clear what the problem is ....and still is by the way.

It shouldn't matter if I haven't sold anything....and obviously I'm still not able to sell anything.

From a "common sense" point of view when I clicked on "list item" eBay should have made it clear where to go/click and solve the problem.... It didn't....so here I am trying to get advice from people who don't even work for Ebay.....

It's taken me all morning just to learn how to reply to these messages..... eBay doesn't make anything easy.

My view of modern technology is .....if it doesn't work 100% ....100% of the time then it doesn't work....and certainly not for "ordinary" people like me.

Thank you for your feedback and advice but I'm afraid I won't be selling anything for a long time to come

Out of curiosity, what device and browser are you using to access this area?

Is there not a big blue reply button bottom right of each post showing as per the screenshot below?

Yes, I found the big blue button....but that was after I learned to click on the subject of the message thing... In this case the words "Again and Again"... You see, that's my whole problem with this.... nothing is obvious to the guy in the street...... I only learned to click on the correct thing because I posted another 2 help messages saying how I couldn't reply to anyone.... Browser.... that'll be the thing I'm using to see these things....think it's Google... Device... that'll be my phone...

Everyone....and I mean everyone in the world needs to design things that everyone can use.... Or people get left behind... The big corporations don't care so I find myself not caring about listing something to sell... I'll keep it or scrap it... And the big corporations won't make any money from me.... Their fault not mine... I actually want to give them money so I can sell something.... but they don't seem to want my money

Thanks for that information, I was a little worried that the reply button was missing when a particular device/browser was used, and that a technical issue needed reporting, but it doesn't.

Your original question was about location.

I correctly replied that others had same issue yesterday.

Hopefully ebay have fixed it now as I haven't seen any questions about it today.

Also as said, you may need to update your details.

Hi, I don't know who I'm replying to but you're correct... eBay didn't let me list an item because a "location" fault kept coming up....as if it was my fault.....

According to you and and some others it appears to maybe be eBay's fault... A glitch in the system someone said.

Again, that's the problem.... eBay didn't tell me or even suggested to me that there may be a fault in their system.... I had to start chasing around and asking people who don't even work for Ebay.

It's not right.... it's just not the way I work.

So thank you again for the replies and information but I won't be selling anything on eBay....

It is the way that glitches work though. That's the beauty of having a community area - somebody points out that they're unable to perform a certain task, then others appear with the same issue. It's then clear that it's a technical issue and not a user end one.

Nobody, including the eBay platform, can detect an issue until it becomes an obvious issue. Then it may take a while to pinpoint what the actual problem is and remedy it.

That location issue is still an active issue, by the way.
