Ad fees

I had an item on sale for collection only. A customer bought this without reading 'collection only' and then requested cancellation when they realised. In order to accept the cancellation I've been asked to pay a sum from my bank account for the ad fee (nothing has been paid yet into my bank account) so I would be out of pocket for no fault of my own. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

The only way to resolve it is to make the payment.

Fees like that are non-refundable and have to be paid upfront, even if the sale falls through.

I know it is your choice to do collection only, but your items could easily be posted,

you would attract more buyers if you did.
