Account restriction

I'm having trouble buying stuff on ebay, every time i go to checkout I get an error message as my account for some reason is restricted. Ebay help says to check my ebay messages and emails for next steps on how to solve the issue, however i have no email or message from them. ive tried to get help on the online assistant but no change. can anyone help me? thank you

Looks like you have not used your account for buying or selling for a long time,  which makes me wonder if any card details you have registered on your eBay account , are perhaps out of date ?

See here which cards you have  registered, and to make sure they have at least 6 months validity.

thank you! yes one of my cards was expired but ive updated with my current card, however still not solved it

If you've just updated it,  it may not be available to use straight away especially if the account has not been used for over a year.

Keep checking your eBay messages and emails even Spam for messages,  you may need to verify that it is you, the account holder,  who is changing these details.  eBay want to be sure the dormant account is not being hacked.
