You don't have to contact ebay for something as simple as a cancellation, and you certainly don't need a cancellation number.
You can't change the fact that the item sold, and if you went to the ACTIONS Drop Down Menu you would not only find CANCEL (reason Buyer Request) you would also find RELIST.
You can do all these things without ebay involvement. No wonder members find it difficult to contact ebay when unnecessary calls are being made.
