I have a feedback that states the customer was happy with the item but make a negative comment about slow 1st class postage . I sent the item as requested and on time . the postage issue is not in my control once I have sent the item that is up to the post office . A negative comment about slow delivery my put off potential customers . I have checked with Royal mail and they say if an item is sent 1st clas it is not a guarented timed service . but Ebay tells my customer it should only take 1 day which is incorrect.
Not sure how to proceed. I have left a reply but that just looks bad on my 100% feedback . any advice ?
To be fair to eBay, they state repeatedly that postal times are ESTIMATED.
Unfortunately, some buyers are oblivious to this. Buyers regularly complain about items not arriving even before the estimated delivery date!
At least your buyer left positive feedback. You didn't need to reply to the comment, anyone could see it was foolish.
There is no thing you can do about it
Personally I would not have left the follow up as it just makes the feedback more obvious
It will soon move down the page
I know it's really annoying, but I'd have just left that and not drawn attention to it by leaving a follow up comment. It's a positive rating and I'm pretty sure that most potential buyers don't read the comments, just check the rating. It'll soon fall off the page too.
