Had my account for many years, with no problems in paying. My card payment details are held by ebay, so I just select buy now, confirm and pay.

I just ordered and paid for an item with no issues, then ordered another item from a different seller. This time it asked me to check my payment method and either re-enter my card details and security code, or change my payment method, where again it would want my payment card details, etc

I cancelled the order, signed out, signed back in and made another order for a different item, which went through as normal.

I again ordered the other item I wanted and once again it asked for me to re-enter my card number and security code.

I've never had that happen before and I wonder if this may be a phishing attempt from a seller or hacked account.

Has anyone else had this happen ?

It's possible that seller has been transferred to eBay's managed payments system.  Checkout works differently then.
