I returned an item on ebay within the time frame but seller didnt refund. I opened a case on ebay. Ebay have closed my case saying i didnt return it in time. i sent proof of posting and tracking details by attaching photographs of royal mail dated receipt for parcel with tracking number and return label !!! What is going on

Did you open the return after you sent the item back

In any case you have to put the tracking onto the dispute you dont send photos.

That is not good enough it has to be on the dispute and showing as Delivered

If you dont do that then the dispute will close in the seller favour as it has

If the item was not as described and you paid by paypal then you can try there

You put the tracking onto the dispute and escalate as soon as you can but within20 days

Seller was Pavers shoes - I used the Pavers returns label with their Royal Mail tracking number to return the shoes. My Ebay return request generated a different royal mail label which I didnt use & I was unable to correct the tracking number on Ebay. Royal Mail tracking for my parcel shows my item was delivered back to Pavers on 03.06.2021. Ebay say I didnt return the item in time. The shoes were delivered to me on 07.05.2021. The retun period was 30 days. I posted the return on 01.06.2021

You needed to use the ebay label or make sure that the pavers label was on the dispute The ebay label is on automatically and you would have had to contact ebay to ask them to put the Pavers tracking on the dispute. Try the paypal dispute and make sure the pavers tracking is on it.

Thanks for advice - I appealed the case on Ebay, and I provided Royal Mail
tracking details for both receiving the parcel and returning it - they
overturned their decision & I received a refund
