Is the way payment to a seller is changing.  Instead of using Paypal, from the 31st May 2021 it needs to go straight into a bank account.  The reason why I ask is I keep on getting an email from eBay ? asking me to check my details to add a bank account instead of Paypal.  Is this real or am I being scammed. ?

It is real. Ebay are separating from PayPal. You now have to sign up to Ebay's Managed Payments. Any Payment will then go through to Ebay. After deducting your Seller Fees, the Payment then gets Paid into your Bank.
