Has anyone purchased an item from Australia to face customs/handling charges? If so what did you pay? I bought a toy with UK value of about £65 and am awaiting delivery with trepidation. Yes it's in the small print about potential extra charges but until I visited the UK GOV site re: customs I hadn't realised how low the threshold is for items from outside the EU. I can't find a list of fees from GOV site; likewise Parcelforce.

Items that have a declared value of over £15 and up to £135 from Australia are subject to VAT and an administration fee of £8 if via Royal Mail, sometimes a lot more for couriers.
