how do I issue a partial refund

Cannot do it on the invoice.

If you are using the app then it does not show all options or they dont always work

Try usint a computer

if you are using a computer then you should be able to combine the postage by clicking on one of the items 

All items that buyer bought comes up and you adjust the postage

Do not reset just make sure the invoice is correct

If you want to do a partial then you go to the original payment in paypal and click on the Refund link

YOu then put in the amount you want to refund and check carefully to make sure the invoice is correct before sending

It is not a good idea to refund as Friend and family as if you do that and the buyer then opens a dispute you would have to refund in full of the amount on the original listing so the buyer would get all their money back as well as the amount you paid seperately

You are paid to paypal, so that is where you make a refund. You click on the payment, and use the refund link, just amend as required!

If you mean you have not yet been paid, then you amend the postage on the invoice > More Actions > Send Payment Details.

You cannot amend the sale price.

For some reason the invoice would not allow me to discount the post on the invoice for a buyer buying two items. Which stops you discounting the post for multiple buys. You use to be able to issue a partial refund, you cannot do that anymore. On Paypal it only shows Full Refund. I was told by Ebay customer care if I wanted to issue a partial refund I had to do as a friend via Paypal which means I need the persons email address which Ebay blocks if you put it in a message. Seems that Ebay or Paypal do not want to give up any of their commission on a sale anymore.
