cannot put tracking no on a return parcel to seller

help please, the seller agreed for me to return item - I am paying postage - I was originally going to use ebay - which gave me a tracking no. but I did not print the label - but instead took to post office and have a tracking receipt from post office.  now, ebay is not allowing me to put my post office tracking no in - which I need to do to give seller the details, and also record this on ebay, as I usually claim postage back from paypal.  Can anyone tell me have to do this please?

You have to contact ebay and ask them to change the tracking number on your return.   Go to My eBay and click on "Help & Contact", top left.  Scroll down to "Contact Us" and click on that. Select a topic, the nearest or any topic.  On the next page, on the lefthand side you should get a link for "Chat with us".   You may have to select different topics until you get the chat link but they will still help you.
